Dawn's PRIDE Challenge

I did two two course meals. On the first night I did a salmon and fritter sandwich with a herb dressing and for mains I did pumpkin soup. To make it first we had to peel, grate and cook the potatoes in a pan and wait until ready. Then I had too chop, pick and mix the herbs. I then added olive oil and mixed it and put it into a container. When the fritters were ready I added smoked salmon on top then put the sauce on with a little salad on the side. For the main I did pumpkin soup. I picked the pumpkins from our garden then I cut off the skin and put it in the pot to cook until it looked sweaty, then i added chilli and other spices, then I put it all into a blender and did this until it was soft and mushy. I left it to settle. I then cooked and cut chicken into thin strips, When the soup was ready I put it into bowls and placed the chicken on top with some corriander. My family really enjoyed my meal, my sister said it was better than the soup my Mum makes, and my Mum and step Dad said it was really nice. I really liked doing this because when I get older I want to be a cook, I love cooking, I think I am good at it, I'm not perfect but I am learning.
Check out my slide show of pictures just below to the right. (Oh I did another one of these too, I did a roast beef with veges and for dessert we had chocolate pudding, and Abby Rump helped me!)
